How do you assemble a lightsaber?
Remove the protective white or purple cap from the underside of the blade. Slide the blade into the handle until it rests against the light source. With a (premium) Neopixel model, it is important to press firmly enough so that the pins engage properly. Make sure that the Allen screws do not block the blade inside the handle.
Then use the small Allen screws and Allen key supplied to secure the blade in the handle. Take care not to overtighten the screws.
The blade is loose and wobbles slightly.
It depends on the lightsaber how many screws are used to fix the blade in the handle. It is important that you push the blade as deep as possible into the handle (against the lamp or the neopixel pins) before tightening the screws.
With a (premium) Neopixel model, make sure you press firmly enough so that the screws do not hit the circuit board. You can tighten the screws quite firmly.
Does your sword seem wobbly? Then tighten the screws even more to check whether this solves the problem. Be careful not to damage the threads.
Is the sword still moving? Then check that the screws are really tight (but don’t overdo it so as not to damage the screw).
The lightsaber makes no sound.
Maybe the lightsaber is in silent/silent mode. Swiss Sabers have different volume levels and a mute/silent mode.
To change the volume, the lightsaber must be in standby mode. Press and hold the button until the light flashes once and then release. An audible confirmation will now appear. Repeat this process to switch between volume and silent mode.
The lightsaber cannot be switched on
The battery is probably weak or deeply discharged. Switch the lightsaber off completely (not in standby mode) and plug it into the charger supplied (5 V, 1 A). If this does not reactivate it, remove the battery from the housing and charge it using the black external charger supplied. This should reactivate a deeply discharged battery,
Make sure you only use a suitable Swiss Sabers charger with a maximum output of 5 V/1 A. Do not use chargers from other manufacturers!
The light does not work, occasionally goes out, flashes constantly or only shows effects when the button is pressed.
First change the sound style to “stable” to rule out other problems. Please refer to the operating instructions.
The Saber does not seem to charge, or the button does not flash when charging.
Your battery may be completely flat or you may be using the wrong charger. As a result, the button may not light up.
Make sure that you connect the supplied cable to a charger that supplies 5 volts / 1 ampere. 5 V / 2.1 A is the absolute maximum. Higher current or voltage combinations can destroy the circuit board. A USB connection on a laptop or computer always supplies 5 V / 1 A.
Then charge your Saber for at least 4 hours using the appropriate charger. Do not interrupt the charging process and do not try to switch on the Saber in between. During the charging process, make sure that the Saber is not left unattended and check that it does not overheat.
I followed these instructions and my lightsaber still doesn't work
Did the instructions above not solve your specific problem? If so, please contact us by e-mail or WhatsApp. Always include the following points in your message:
The order number (without this we cannot help).
Which Saber and which version are affected.
Describe the problem as precisely as possible.
It is best to send us a video so that we can see immediately what the problem is.
We will then help you as quickly as possible.
What to do if the battery stops charging?
If the lightsaber has not been used for a long time, the battery may be deeply discharged. In this case, proceed as follows:
-
Remove the battery: Carefully remove the battery from the lightsaber.
-
Charge directly: Connect the removed battery to the black charger supplied and charge it.
